Arvin South was built while our son was a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. His favorite place there was Arvin Gym.
The name found us
Whenever he came home, he and his buddies naturally spent much of their time training here. The room became part of the rhythm of coming home: familiar people, shared work, and long stretches of time together.
Before long, calling our gym Arvin South felt inevitable. It was our family’s tribute to the place that shaped an important chapter of his life, carried south to Louisiana and made personal.

What the place means now
The equipment collection has grown, but the purpose remains simple. Arvin South is a private place for family and invited friends to train seriously, encourage one another, and enjoy the work. It is not a commercial gym and was never intended to become one.
